My only problem is the sound quality. I don't know if this is because the speakers are pointing down but I have to really raise the volume up in order to hear the sound at a clear aubilble level. I don't have any hearing issues (tested 6 months ago) but I have to use my home theater speakers in order to watch regular shows which I only like using on movies. I never thought to consider position of the TV's speakers but I will definitely consider it on my next purchase in about 3 months. |

I have no trouble with fast motion in football, assuming I am watching an HD signal. The sound is what you would expect from a flat TV - if you want great sound, you need a 7.1 stereo. This unit found more stations than a Samsung costing twice the price. This unit is easy to set up. There is an aspect ratio setting of "Set by Program" that works much better than anything I have seen on my more expensive Sony and Samsung sets. For the money, this thing works better than sets costing twice as much. |

However, when you get thinner and thinner TVs, the acoustics of speakers don't work and that is to be expected. Get a sound bar or connect to a home theatre system. |

We are on cable and do not have an HD box, only what come with the basic cable. I do not think we need the HD box. I am very happy with the LG and would highly reccomend it to my friend. |
